We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level DevOps Engineer to join our team and support the development and operation of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of DevOps practices and be eager to learn and grow in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Duties
Work with development, operations, and QA teams to improve collaboration and productivity.
Assist in the automation of manual processes for faster deployment and development cycles.
Help monitor system performance and health, generating reports to identify problems and areas for improvement.
Assist in managing configurations across various environments securely.
Aid in the deployment of applications and ensure proper configuration in various environments.
Maintain documentation of processes, procedures, and infrastructure to ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
troubleshoot issues related to systems, applications, or tools.
Continuously learn new tools and technologies relevant to DevOps practices.
Attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to stay aligned with team goals.
Assist in applying security best practices and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Basic Understanding of DevOps Concepts:
Familiarity with DevOps principles, practices, and methodologies.
Basic understanding of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
Some experience or knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Understanding of Git and version control practices.
Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Exposure to Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Circle CI.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack).
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Problem-solving aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
