DevOps Engineer

Description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level DevOps Engineer to join our team and support the development and operation of our software applications. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of DevOps practices and be eager to learn and grow in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Work with development, operations, and QA teams to improve collaboration and productivity.
  • Assist in the automation of manual processes for faster deployment and development cycles. 
  • Help monitor system performance and health, generating reports to identify problems and areas for improvement. 
  • Assist in managing configurations across various environments securely. 
  • Aid in the deployment of applications and ensure proper configuration in various environments. 
  • Maintain documentation of processes, procedures, and infrastructure to ensure knowledge transfer within the team. 
  • troubleshoot issues related to systems, applications, or tools. 
  • Continuously learn new tools and technologies relevant to DevOps practices.
  • Attend daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to stay aligned with team goals. 
  • Assist in applying security best practices and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic Understanding of DevOps Concepts:
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles, practices, and methodologies. 
  • Basic understanding of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting. 
  • Some experience or knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 
  • Understanding of Git and version control practices. 
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. 
  • Exposure to Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. 
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Circle CI. 
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging tools (e.g., ELK stack). 
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Problem-solving aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
